My name is Oscar Paez Castro. I was born in Cuba where I grew up and pursued my studies in Veterinary medicine. After graduating in 1981 I practiced in South East Asia for 18 years. During this time I prepared my Masters Degree in Maison Alfort, Paris, France 1993 - 1994.

Nearly 14 years ago I settled in the USA with my family and opened my first clinic. In my practice I integrate both eastern and western medicine. Acupuncture, hydrotherapy and natural medicine are commonly used in combination with the modern veterinary techniques and procedures in both clinics.
During my spare time, I enjoy cooking, travelling and spending time with my family which includes 5 dogs.

After multiple reviews I read. I decided to come to this vet. Let me be one of the reviews that assure you maybe it’s the time of the day I came it’s calm no rush. I brought my cat due to him having urinary issues. The moment the doctor came in and saw him I can tell he is an animal lover. He slowly got the my cats trusts and examined him. Estimates provided in a timely manner and moral of the story I love my cat and if you love your animal and need someone to assure you come here.

Highly recommended very friendly and amazing staff . Took my small dog with a broken leg and immediately they rush me in and gave my dog amazing care and the best part is that you can actually see what they do and how it’s done. And the best part it’s 24/7

I highly recommend Oscar and everyone at Coral Way Animal Clinic!!! There is a wealth of knowledge and a whole lotta love here!!! I have brought my pugs and all my rescue kitties in for everything from shots, to surgeries and recently for an eye enoculation for a Little Havanna street kitty!!! My heart feels warm and welcomed and i trust that all the animals are given amazing care!!!

Please avoid this vet clinic.
This place is extremely over priced, i was quoted $2850 for a surgery and got a second opinion who quoted me $1600. When I had voiced concerns about the cost the vet told me “this is just the beginning. Do you have good credit?”
On top of that, i felt i wasn’t informed enough about the procedure and all my options. I felt pressured by the veterinarian to make a uniformed decision and was overall treated poorly. He also called my dogs very large tumor beautiful, which i found inappropriate at the time of me discovering my dog had a tumor.
