Miami, 311 SW 7th St, Miami, FL 33130

At Publix Super Market at Miami River, located at 311 SW 7th St, the standard grocery run is reimagined for the "River Rat" lifestyle. This is one of the rare places in Miami where your transportation options include a car, a scooter, or a center-console boat.

Situated right on the south bank of the Miami River, this location serves as the nautical gateway between Little Havana and the gleaming glass towers of Brickell.

The "Nautical Provisioning" Hub

What makes the 311 SW 7th St location a true Miami anomaly is its relationship with the water.

Boat Dock Access: Unlike almost any other supermarket in the county, this Publix features a private boat dock. Boaters navigating the Miami River can literally tie up, walk across the riverwalk, and grab a case of beer, ice, or a platter of Pub Subs before heading back out to Biscayne Bay.

The Riverwalk Lounge: The store is designed to embrace its waterfront real estate. The outdoor seating area overlooks the river, offering a front-row seat to the constant parade of mega-yachts and tugboats—making it arguably the most scenic spot in the city to eat a fried chicken wing.

Urban Architecture: This is a "compact" urban Publix, featuring a parking garage layout that keeps your car shaded from the Florida sun while you navigate its polished, high-efficiency aisles.

Why the Miami River Locals Choose It

In a neighborhood defined by the contrast of historic grit and modern luxury, this Publix is the "community bridge."

The Provisioning Pro: This is the unofficial headquarters for the local yachting community. Because of the dock, it is the primary stop for charter captains who need to "restock on the fly" without dealing with the gridlock of Brickell traffic.

The "River View" Deli: The deli team here is accustomed to high-volume orders for "boat days." They are known for their efficiency in packing large orders that can survive a day on the water.

Cross-Neighborhood Convenience: Positioned at the edge of the SW 7th Street bridge, it serves as the ultimate convenience point for those living in the western part of Brickell or the eastern edge of Little Havana, offering a "quieter" alternative to the chaos of Mary Brickell Village.

The Atmosphere

The vibe is "Miami Industrial-Chic." You’ll see a mix of captains in salt-stained polos, Brickell professionals in business casual, and local residents grabbing fresh produce. It’s a store that feels connected to the history of the river while providing the modern, high-end amenities Publix is known for.

Pro Tip: If you're arriving by boat, keep an eye on the tide and bridge openings. The current in the Miami River can be tricky, and docking here is a local "badge of honor" for skilled captains. If you're coming by car, the parking garage entrance is on SW 7th St and offers a much-needed escape from the afternoon rain.

Had what I wanted, but not everything I needed. It's not a big store. But it did the trick before getting on our cruise

Shopping was NOT a pleasure. I’ve been shopping at this Publix for years, and I’ve never experienced customer service this poor. The cashier was rude and disengaged, and I was forced to bag my own groceries without any help. This is the second time this has happened, and it’s unacceptable. Customer service is clearly not a priority at this location. I will not be returning.

This is my local Publix, but due to more people moving into Brickell and around little Havana, it can get really packed during specific times during the day. Luckily there is a garage option on the opposite side of the entrance with extra parking. Locals just like to be able to park in front closer to the entrance ofcourse, so that can be a bit frustrating when the parking lot is full and tight to get through with other vars waiting for spaces to open up. Other than that, the staff is super helpful and attentive. I've been going there for 4+ years and go hack because of convenience close to my house and the staff.

The deli workers always have such a disgusting attitude..... Can't ask them nothing without them sucking their teeth or rolling their eyes.... Really hate this department at this location
