I recently had an unfortunate encounter with the staff at University Hospital . To put it simply, I have never experienced such a disappointing level of service before. The staff's behavior was absolutely appalling, with their rudeness and complete lack of attention to my concerns. I felt disrespected and unheard throughout the entire phone call.
As if their poor attitude wasn't bad enough, the staff's complete inability to listen to my needs and address my concerns was truly baffling. I attempted to voice my issues and provide requested information, but it seemed like they weren't interested in listening at all. They repeatedly interrupted me, cutting me off mid-sentence, and dismissing my questions without even attempting to understand my perspective. It was highly unprofessional and showed a complete disregard for customer service standards.

To make matters worse, when attempting to reach out to the staff over the phone to escalate my concerns, they outright hung up on me. This unacceptable behavior only further highlights their lack of professionalism and respect towards their customers. It was disheartening to be treated in such a manner and left me feeling frustrated and ignored.

It is truly disheartening to have had such a negative experience with University Hospital.

I strongly advise anyone considering visiting this establishment to think twice and consider alternative options. The level of service provided by the staff is simply unacceptable. They need to seriously reassess their approach towards customer service, as their current attitude is detrimental to both their reputation and the happiness of their clientele.

In conclusion, my experience with University Hospital was incredibly disappointing. The rude and inattentive staff, who not only failed to listen but also hung up on me during a phone call, left me utterly dissatisfied. I sincerely hope that the management takes swift action to rectify these issues and ensures that no other customer has to endure such unprofessional treatment in the future.

Please note: This honest review is solely based on my personal experience, and other individuals may have had different encounters at University Hospital.

THE WORST HOSPITAL I EVER SEEN! My husband cut 2 fingers and they said he will need stitches and they make us wait for almost 4hours. There’s wasn’t nurses and doctors. The staff that was there was sitting in an office. Nobody even gave him a pain medicine. We just decided go to another hospital and of course they send us the bills to pay for some assistance that we never had

The hospital was EXTREMELY dirty!

This hospital is the worst. Sitting in a fast track for over 5 hours is insane. More people have walked out of this waiting room then was seen by a doctor. They need more works or bigger area for fast track. Seems like no-one is even working. Should have just to walgreens. UMDNJ needs to do better

My life was saved two days ago but I was robbed in the er room while being cared for. Someone took my 14kt gold bracelet off my right arm caring for me. When I got into my room I noticed it was gone. I was really out of it. why the staff do that to me. I’m sure it has happened to others it’s just not talked about. I’m so upset I was taken advantage of at my weakest. I just remembered two black males taking off my shirt to put on a gown. I had an I’v in both arms. And a wrist band. I was told they would locate my bracelet and look at the cameras but nothing has happened. They refused to allow to see the camera. Just let me see myself on the camera. Patient relations did not allow me to view the camera.

In your neurology department you have an employee that works for Dr James Liu, incredibly incompetent lady! Does not know how to do her dam job and when explain what was needed to be done she gets upset becomes incredibly disrespectful and rude and even goes as far as purposely writing random Information on patients paperwork knowing that they will not be accepted like that. And yes I said purposely because no one can be that much of a moron to make mistakes that a child would make 3 times in a row! Then when the mistakes are pointed out she gets loud and blames the patient for not noticing the mistakes sooner! If that’s how patients are being treated then please whoever is fortunate to read this before going….GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

This is the worst hospital I am aware of. My son in at 34 has pressure areas due to neglect and poor care. The staff that cares for him was unaware of thr areas until my daughter brought it their attention and even then the nurse had no idea what she was looking at. In the ED vomit stayed on the floor. Hallways crowded with stretchers wall to wall. Doctors are insensitive and communication is minimal. I will be raising these issues up the chain even if I have to contact the insurance company, CMS, Joint Commission and any other regulatory body that will listen. Same on those who call themselves Healthcare professionals at this hospital.

I like the hospital, but their emergency room is not a good place to go. My child PCP is cared and the staff members are friendly . Safe place no discrimination.

When did being mediocre become acceptable? The whole operation is disgusting and questionable with the way they take patients in.I was in unbearable pain and just left.Called around and got treated elsewhere
