Newark Liberty International Airport

Thi review is specific to Terminal A, the modern, rebuilt $2.7b space that will floor you. The open concept plan is stunning. Everything from the modern and clean bathrooms to endless places to eat and shop, you'll forget you're standing in the middle of an airport. Next time you're here, come a bit earlier and walk around. You'll be glad you did.

No tsa pre-check…I have not seen people wait in such long lines for bag drop. Lots of other airports have visual notification for boarding, not at good ol’ EWR. (maybe they’ll find out about AirPods soon). Very disorganized. They do seem to like to play the part of JFK stepchild. Weird!

I can honestly say that I have barely had any good experiences here. Between rude TSA agents and issues with many flights, this is one of the worst airports in the country. Avoid if possible.

Worst airport experience ever. I had a connecting flight here from Iceland. Although I bought sealed alcohol at the airport in Iceland, TSA at EWR made me throw it away. Waste of $50. The TSA was as slow and as inconsiderate as they could be. There was barely a line yet they took what seemed like hours to check bags. Many people were late to their flight or even missed it because of how slow they moved. DO NOT BOOK HERE.

Newark Liberty International Airport is een groot vliegveld in de buurt van New York City. Onze ervaring daar was over het algemeen goed. Het personeel was behulpzaam, en de faciliteiten waren modern en schoon. Het in- en uitchecken verliep vlot, en we hadden toegang tot diverse voorzieningen. Kortom, het was een positieve ervaring op dit drukke luchthaven.

Easy to navigate as there are plenty of signs to help you find your way.

American terminal was great. Spacious and decent (but few) food options. Eat at the Kitchen Step.

Crossing the passport check on the arrivals takes an eternity, it is crazy slow.
Otherwise, closer to Manhattan comparing to JFK so easier and sometimes faster to reach the city!

TSA agents are so rude and yell impatiently at people if they do something wrong like try to be prepared and take out their laptop or take off their shoes. Don’t they know that airports are different and some still require doing those things? Also they ask to open completely sealed gifts, some hot cocoa powder for someone.
