- One star because you can't leave none. I booked with Avis because I thought I could skip the desk and get straight to the car, avoiding the aggressive upsell. Still had to endure that, and then the glory of an added toll pass that I specifically didn't need, extra insurance I didn't want or get given a chance to decline, and an extra $99 charge because 'the money went up!, on a fully prepaid booking. That extra was ultimately removed, bit they still nabbed a fee Dollars from my credit card, because....they could. Never again Avis, you operate like the clowns at Sixt, though your Twitter guys were not bad.
- I recently rented a car at Orlando International airport which I have done many times in the past. After receiving The paperwork I proceeded to the car. After 5 minutes 2 other groups of renters came and told me that it was their car that they had just rented lol.
After proving it was my car I finally got to leave and start my vacation. The worst part is when I returned the car and got my final bill I saw there was added insurance which I did not approve for 13 days which came out to over $400. I called Avis and said it would be resolved within 48 hours and 3 days later still haven't heard anything. I plan on fighting this with the department of consumer affairs the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General . Senior citizens shouldn't be treated this way.

We rented a very well kept Lincoln Nautilus. What a pleasure to drive! No longer are we in the days of two types of 4 door cars- Avis seems to carry a wide variety of vehicles. Yup, we will be back
- Did not receive the type of car I need and paid for. It was a three steps to gain a “smaller car” at McO. One line where they took 2x the amount. Then accros the street and floors above we're where we received our car. I only had three choices. Not what I paid for. The car had so many dents, rips in the back seat, etc. If I knew I was driving a lower priced car that came with many issues I would have never used the company. Horrible
- I reserved a Toyota Camry and there were no similar cars when I arrived to MCO, so I received a very old Ford SUV, it smelled like cigarettes, the driver seat was burned with cigarettes, and the interior it was very dirty. I went to the AVIS counter to request a change and they gave me another old SUV with more than 45.000 miles. The SUV was far from the Toyota Camry quality and technology. I decided to take the old SUV in order to not waste more time. I'm a Herzt gold member, but this time I decided to try Avis. The Avis service quality is far from what I am used to.

I only went to Orlando and when I returned to my country they charged me a toll made in Virginia and they charged me more than 200 usd for a carpet cleaning because it had animal hair. I DO NOT HAVE pets!!! here or there or anywhere. How can they say it's us if we don't even have pets! From avis they send me a photo as "evidence" of a carpet with hair. No date, no show car, nothing. what kind of evidence is that! this is simply a STEAL!!! From avis they tell me that they do not intend to return my money. I demand that they return the money that corresponds to me! what they are doing is scamming and robbing people. Even the agent who spoke to me on the phone did not know what to tell me because the accusation and the actions of Avis are stupid. A SHAME! Give me my money!!!

Not happening! We were totally ripped off. We were estimated $281.00, but we were charged $417.57 from one of your deceitful employees. I asked him about the Sunpass. He said it is no problem, just drive through the tolls and your credit card will be charged just for the toll! Then he said that we did not need to fill up the gas tank that your rate was pretty competitive to the gas station $3.55. None of this makes since! We drove a total of about 128 miles. The Kia Soul is supposed to get 27/32 mpg and it has a gas tank capacity size of 14.3 gallons. How could we be charged almost $60.00 to fill it up?
- I rented a car on priceline was told it would be $113 when I got my final bill it was $250 not counting the 150 deposit. Wish I did get back.
- Terrible customer experience as a “preferred”. First car offered’s trunk didn’t open, second car offered had not been cleaned from the previous renter. No apology, no upgrade offered.
