- Kara at Avis Rental Car is SUPER AMAZING. She went to great lengths to make certain I was happy with my rental. This TX girl don't like them PA hills. I had the rental for just over a week and I can honestly say, it was the best experience I've ever had (minus the gas charge, that was added when I dropped the car off).
Kara was there for me start to finish and I am looking forward to doing business with her again! THANK YOU Kara, for being the beautiful person you are! I'm sure Avis is to have you on their team!
- Picking up our rental was quick and pleasant. The sensor on the car did not disclose that we had fueled up prior to dropping the car off resulting in an additional charge, but this was quickly remedied when I showed the woman at the counter my receipt from the gas station. She was friendly and happily removed the charge. I will absolutely rent from Avis again on our next trip.

If you arrive at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) between the hours of 6 am and midnight Monday through Saturday, and 6 am and 3 pm on Sunday, proceed to the Avis Car Rental counter located right in the terminal. At all other times, exit the main terminal, cross the street and proceed to the Avis airport car rentals booth in the parking garage where an Avis representative will be more than happy to assist you.
Avis’s PIT car rental fleet features a wide variety, from compact cars to luxury cars and SUVs. It’s a 25- to 30-minute drive from the Pittsburgh airport car rentals facility to the city’s downtown core.
Pittsburgh’s fortunes were once tied to its massive steel industry. As that has declined, the city has re-emerged as a center of education, medicine, finance and technology. If you work in one of these industries, you’ll probably be visiting Pittsburgh a lot, so it makes sense to accelerate your travel experience with Avis Preferred, a complimentary membership that allows you to skip the line and go straight to your car.
In town, drive up Mount Washington for a view of the downtown skyline, then visit the South Side, an area once dominated by heavy industry and now populated by hip eateries and student hangouts. To inspire yourself and your colleagues, visit the Oakland neighborhood, where Pittsburgh’s wealthy industrialists built their grandiose homes. And don’t miss the Carnegie Museums, funded by one of America’s most famous business families.
