Can Can is a French brasserie and bakery in Cary Court Shopping Center. Situated in the eastern wing of Richmond’s oldest operating shopping center, Can Can was constructed to look and feel as if it has been lifted from the left bank of Paris (circa 1900) and dropped into the heart of Carytown. The idea for the restaurant derives from the classic notions of brasserie, which originally indicated an establishment that served beer, but grew to reflect grand café restaurants specializing in traditionally inspired French foods that can be cooked quickly. With seating for over 140 in the main dining room, an Art Nouveau inspired private dining room that seats up to 60 guests or over 100 for cocktails, and a full-service bakery and pastry kitchen supplying all of its breads, pastries, and desserts, the restaurant’s versatility should provide the area an array of options and events.
Can Can provides nonstop service morning, noon, and night and looks to give the local neighborhood, businesses, and Richmond visitors, a home away from home, an office away from the office, a place of refuge, or a stage for celebrating with friends.

- Gotta love this brasserie. It's location is great. While there can be a very long wait for a table, just be patient, it will be worth the wait. Wander over to the candy shop in the strip mall next to Can Can and be the "kid in the candy store". The restaurant is lively, the food was great, the service was super (even a little slow) to give you plenty of time to absorb your food and the ambiance. And do go into the ladies room. I fell in love with the faucets and wanted to bring them home!
- One of my absolute favorite places to frequent in Richmond! Partner and I have been for brunch multiple times in the past couple months and are excited to have my birthday brunch here with family tomorrow! Been coming here for about 15 years now and will be a customer as long as they are around. Incredible atmosphere, food, and service every time. If you're going for brunch be sure to get a latte and beignets!

- Really good service and an enjoyable setting. The food was... fine. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich. Guess I am just a classic Monte Ctisto kind of person. Having the chicken confit in there was different but to me not better. If I go back I won't order that again. My wife had the pancakes and was not overly impressed. Said they were just kind of there.
Again, the wait staff was great.
- I adore this restaurant. It is a gem to dine at. The atmosphere is unique with the early 1900s French vibe, and the food is amazingly delicious. I have never had a bad experience here. They bring different breads to the table that are freshly baked, and my favorite sample I've had is the pistachio and apricot one. I prefer brunch over lunch or dinner, but they only serve it on Sundays. My sister also says that they serve the best French onion soup she's had. I make sure to come here during my birthday every year.
- We sat at the bar for Sunday brunch. The bartenders are fantastic. A good variety of drink options with a classic presentation. Food quality and flavor was excellent. Perfect brunch spot but I strongly recommend getting a reservation because the restaurant fills up quickly.

- Absolutely beautiful restaurant! Super friendly (and stylish) staff. I was in Richmond for a very short time but made sure to go back for brunch before I left... Monte Cristo was delicious!
