Koplik went above and beyond to locate the biological parent so that we can move my case forward. Ms. Koplik kept me updated and made sure that I was aware of every step leading to the final adoption. My son is only 5 years old and he has not had any contact with his mother since he was 3 months old. My son did not know nor understand the biology behind parenting, thus I was very scared and unsure how to break this news to him. Ms. Koplik set us up with a professional counselor that guided my husband and I in how to gently tell our son about the adoption, before the court’s investigator spoke to him and caused confusion.
