- Excellent. Across the board. Reminds me of an old Napa Valley establishment. Amazing food, friendly staff. This is what a restaurant should be. We had a great experience and will be back soon

- Food was fantastic. This place literally blew my mind. The owner is the person giving you the menu and the paper is just something you could look over before he shows up. His specials are what he gets everyday when he goes to the market picks things up and brings it back and if you have a craving that's not on the menu or his specials he'll figure out a way to get it for you.

This is a place you would love to go to. Yes, it is a bit pricey, but the food is wonderful. Yes it's a little dark inside, but I honestly feel that it contributes to the atmosphere of the place. It's not a place that will have a DJ playing music, live band on stage or having music drowning out the loud noise. It's a place that is cozy and give you a nostalgia feel while serving you some of the best food. Don't trust a review and just judge it for yourself. Go in there and experience it first hand.

- Amazing like always! We have been coming here for a few years now and it never disappoints! Food is delicious and full of flavor! Service is amazing and super attentive! The atmosphere unique in every way! Great place to have a romantic dinner! Definitely recommend it to anyone! You won't be disappointed!!!

Very cute restaurant with nice, cozy ambience and great service. Unfortunately the food is not up to par with ratings, expectations and cost.

We had a crab cake appetizer which was quite good, but my chicken parm was average and the marinara sauce on the penne was all tang and no taste-- saltless.

Her special seafood pasta was also extremely bland sadly, despite all the generous hunks of fish in it.

Sorry guys, we really wanted to like it here, but the food wasn't up to par. Also my Manhattan was really quite watery and bad. You're not supposed to shake it. Anyway, I feel bad about the review because I like the people and restaurant, but it just wasn't good enough.

I'll leave it on a positive note, which is their wine list is very reasonably priced. Perhaps wine and an appetizer is the way to go here.

I like the food there, it's not like other restaurants, but I was surprised that I can't see the chef's menu prices. it seems to me that it is invented based on the appearance of the client.

One of our favorite spots for special occasions, we always look forward to a night at Moxie. Made a reservation over the phone personally with Adam for 730 tonight only to find we "weren't on the list" when we arrived. We stood at the bar as people scurried around us. Low and behold, Governor Newson and his family walked in right behind us and of course were promptly seated. Not too long after, another couple came in and apparently suffering the same fate as us, and sat at the bar. We asked again about our reservations and again were told we "weren't on the list". A mistake? I think not. We left very dissappointed.

A moment of opportunity. Don't let it pass you by. One of Sacramento's genuine Gem's. Over 35 year's Adam has given all the best a person can expect in a dining experience as an owner operater. One of the few places left here, where you feel a sense of pride, dedication, and true comfort in the local neighborhood. Nothing last forever. P.S. Love the hand written receipts. How cool is that!
