I do not recommend the San Diego airport Hertz location. I rented a vehicle from this Hertz in early June 2023. We arrived, and the customer service we received was just okay, minimal, and unfriendly (I believe the person helping us was in training with the coach sitting behind them). The most disappointing was that I paid in advance for a "premium" vehicle, and the vehicle we got was the opposite of premium: it had over 50k miles, rattled, made noticeable "clunking" noises when driving over bumps/potholes, seemed like it was previously crashed because the front bumper/fender were not aligned, and the interior was seriously stripped down with a super plain infotainment system. Frankly, the car was terrible! At the end of our week with the vehicle, I was annoyed that I paid for "premium" and got a big, old, plain car! It was the first and last time I rent from Hertz at the San Diego airport, and I recommend you pass on this particular location.
