I discovered Hmart through my sister who lives in L.A. and was thrilled when it finally opened in San Francisco. I absolutely love shopping for Asian items here. The marinated meat for BBQ or Hot pot is fantastic, and the Sashimi is reasonably priced. They also have a great selection of fresh Asian fruits. The food courts at Hmart are top-notch with amazing restaurants. I can't get enough of this place!
Great selection of Asian produce. The store itself was quite tiny, people were bumping into each other and there wasn't a lot of space to maneuver around.
Solid operations protocols here with security patrol that safeguards parking lot.
Good selection of foods, fun music playlist and Hong Kong Ban Jum in food court.
I think that in an ideal Capitalist free market scenario they are best in the Whole Foods retail spot on Ocean Ave near CCSF. They would best serve the community in that location and with proper training then it can perhaps replace Whole Foods. They are better prepared for the CCSF neighborhood than Whole Foods. I hope they buy out the Whole Foods on Ocean location since they are superior
To day l went to H mart cashier lady are so rude. I told her l am member can you check phone number.?she said no phones number you need to carry member cards.
The epitome of Asian grocery markets here. Huge selection of seafood fresh and frozen. Plenty of dried kelp and seaweeds. Nice looking veggies for a fair price and especially the mushrooms! Lots of pre-prepared entrees and sides in plastic single-use containers... Boo for the environment but convenient for those who don't give a damn. There was a huge line at checkout but it moved incredibly fast. Nearly all the lanes had a cashier.
Today it wasn't crowded..plenty of parking right up front..in and out in minutes....the Isles were easy to turn you cart around..not feeling rusted to get out...
No WiFi, not friendly, not helpful to outsiders who don't speak the language.
The Latinos that work there are more friendlier and willing to help. Yep, I said it...its true.
