- Renting using Budget fastbreak is such a breeze! No long lines to pick up your car. Same as well when you are going to drop off your car. I got an old Honda Civic unit but it runned smoothly as new. Just be mindful to check your rental car for any wear and tear before leaving the facility. Beware of the "toll package" in the SF Bay Area (and probably other California locations). You will wind up paying over $12 a day even if you don't use the tolls a single time!!!

They gave my car to someone else so had to wait for another car. When return, they charge me for fuel even though I already fill it back full. Was not very happy.

I arrived about 30 minutes before my reservation time. There was a long line. We spent about 30-45 minutes waiting in the line for only 2-3 customers in front of us. The issue was that they were out of cars and everyone was angry. Admittedly the customers were tired and rude, but the employees needed to have someone acting as a firm leader directing the customers away from the counter once they were given the bad news that there wasn’t a car available. I am tempted to give higher stars because they miraculously did have a car for me and the man at the counter was polite and helpful to me. But part of the customer experience is standing in a line for 40 minutes because the employees weren’t able to be polite, but *firm*, with customers ahead of us who stood and argued for so long. When I finally reached the front of the line, one of the argumentative customers cut again in front of us to keep arguing. I asked if it was his turn again and whether something different would happen compared to his previous ten minutes at the counter. To make the experience better don’t worry about me and my particular car, since it worked out. Worry about the process and training. What are employees supposed to do to prevent people from getting stuck in line for 40 minutes (even if unfortunately some will inevitably get bad news when you are out of cars). And I guess the other bad outcome on my particular reservation was that no car seats were remaining in the bins, despite us reserving those as well.

For the record, the guy who helped me was competent and polite.

Stay away from this company and Avis if you plan to get a car at SFO. It takes literally over one hour just to be able to get a car at their counter WITH A RESERVATION !

Can't I just pick up my car that I already paid for and not get upsold on a bigger vehicle, then a nicer vehicle, then a toll pass for $95. I paid upfront for entire rental and was reassured multiple times that I would not incur any additional charges. Dropped off the car and my cc was hit for another $210 for taxes and fees that I was promised was included in the original rental cost. Definitely will NEVER go back to budget.
