I recommend arriving early. This location gets really busy. Even if you have an appointment it can take over an hour until you get your computer back so plan to find a good spot to relax and eat some good food. Lots of good places around. Service was ok, but nothing special.

No one knows how to use Apple Pay Later product for an in-store purchase. They expected me to wait 45mins to an hour to find out if it would work.

It makes me sad to realize that the Apple brand in which customer service was once a model for inspiration, could have fallen so far from expectations. After being a faithful customer and spending so much on Apple devices, I feel taken for a fool after my latest experience.

Yesterday, my iPhone 14 was running abnormally slow after a long series of bug fixes. I took it to the Apple store and I was assisted by somebody upstairs. A young lady wearing a facemask who appeared friendly at first. After explaining the issue, I was left speechless as I was bombarded with enough lies, deflection, and bush beating that could make a politician cringe. I don't use "lie" lightly, iCloud does not delete data when users downgrade as she says. A simple google search would tell you. Something that would've taken ten seconds if she had made any effort to find a solution at all.

I felt spoken down to like a child as I was told whatever to make me leave. I requested a manager believing this one employee was unreflective of the organization. As soon as she left, a security guard walked over and stood right besides us. Watching us without making direct eye contact for 30 minutes until the Manager came. I told her exactly the same thing and I tried asking questions to understand the issue. I felt like a fool when I discovered what a waste of time it was. The manager was equally elusive and unhelpful.

It made me aware the poor customer service was institutional practice at least within the Genius Bar. (Who knows how high up the ladder it goes?) I can't blame the employees I interacted with as I don't know who's orders they're following. It's just depressing to see Trillion dollar company trashing their loyal customer base and reputation to save a couple bucks.

I brought in my macbook to repair a cracked screen. I know the entire screen gets replaced and that the stickers on the outside of my macbook would be lost. Some were tiny trinkets from friends, especially one sticker from a friend who has since passed away. I had made peace with it, but I was devastated. I tried to remove them while there at drop off but just kinda gave up. I need my macbook for college, I can't function without it. Fast forward to today, I went in to pick it up, and i had a shiny new macbook. No stickers. I said something in passing to the associate about my stickers being gone. He asked me to wait a moment. I thought it was something with my Apple Care, or payment. Instead he brought out 2 sheets of stickers. Somebody who works at this store had removed them and saved them for me, perfect and pristine. I know it had to have been labor intensive and time consuming. I am so incredibly grateful to the staff at this store. I know it's just stickers, but I left the store in tears. I am so incredibly grateful for that employee who just did something out of the goodness of their heart.
