Este dia fue el mas feliz lleve a toda la tropa familiar es muy hermoso los invito a q disfruten de algo uno y especial

Very beautiful zoo, many creatures to view, and several playgrounds and even a carousel for the kids! A couple of restaurants and a train ride well worth the money. A great place to walk and have fun with the kids.

It was a family field trip to the SF Zoo. All the animals looked sad. The monkey area had no water. The monkeys were drinking from a pool of mud. The Snow Leppard was totally enclosed fencing all around. Very expensive once inside. Cotton candy was $9.99. I wanted a sweat shirt but it was $69.99. There is free street parking on Sloat but it is a long walk to main entrance. You can park in Zoo lot for $13.00. Don't buy your tickets on line they charge a fee. You can buy at window day of. Wear comfortable shoes you will be doing alot of walking. The bathrooms are dirty be careful with small children. All area is paved so no problem with baby stroller or wheel chair. Also another of areas are closed due to upgrade.

The zoo was okay. There wasn't very good upkeep with the scenery. There was a lot of overgrown grass and weeds. Its a pretty good walk the exhibits are pretty spaced out.

The exhibits that were occupied were pretty good, but it looks like there are a lot of habitats that are under construction

I brought my family to the zoo today for Mother's Day and we purchased the family plus membership. We were slightly disappointed with how much the zoo has changed since covid but we were enjoying ourselves nonetheless until we stopped for snacks. The station ( food building) has a girl working (Lia) at the cash register that is so disrespectful. We got cookies and drinks, we asked if the price was right because it seemed like a lot and she laughed at my wife and whispered to the other cashier. My wife went back in and spoke to the cashier and asked why she was laughing and she said, "I turned my back so I didn't laugh in your face". My wife then went back in to speak to a manager and while he was understanding it was a horrible experience for mother's day. I'm only giving 2 stars because the zoo is just ok.

Overall good experience. Paeking, train ride and carousel paid separately from admission. There seems to be quite a few empty areas. Got there at 12pm and parking was full, so it was a bit of a walk to get in.

They have so much to offer, animals, walkways with amazing sceneries and so much greenery! Now I've been to many zoos but this one knocks them all down to the ground! Will be visiting soon again!

Buen lugar familiar muy bonito lugar para los niños y familia para caminar

Childhood memories are attached here to this zoo. I just feel they could invest and make some improvements to the structures and grounds of the zoo for the animals and visitors... It's too predictable!!!

You'll spend around 5 hours here, wear comfortable shoes and make sure the weather is good so you don't get cold. The restrooms are dirty and I feel the experience could have been better if they provided individual maps for each one. But it's a good ride to be done once in a lifetime!

Honestly don't know how on earth this zoo gets 4.4 stars... The most run-down and dilapidated zoo I have been to.

Management is running this place into the ground. Weeds and grass everywhere, half the enclosures are empty, buildings haven't had any upkeep or maintenance in a long, long time let alone preventative maintenance. Something's really not right at this zoo... The photos I posted are just the tip of the iceberg. Signs have faded everywhere, some are missing/rusted. My families favourite was the grass filled fountain. Where is all the money going?? A complete revamp of management might just be the start. Someone needs to fix this place for future generations to come... And nothing does that better than fresh sets of eyes.

Understandably it's hard to see some animals since they are asleep or in hard-to-see locations, but all the animals were worth seeing. However, the shop, resturant and train ride were all overpriced.

I came here with my teen and we had a great time. Here's what they had to say:

"The thing I enjoyed the most about visiting the SF Zoo was the lemurs. They had such a huge habitat and it was amazing to watch them run along the ropes set out for them and call out to each other. They looked so happy in their home that I wanted to join them! This zoo is a pretty fun place, and you can learn a lot by observing. I guess I could have learned more here but overall I had a good time.

Great for the family and kids the playground area is amazing. The food is not so good and you could pay $8 for a small drink, maybe eat first or pack a lunch.

This zoo is worth a visit even if you don’t have kids. Best described as a stroll through a beautiful, densely forested park that has some exciting animals to see. I didn’t take the best pictures, was too busy chatting and enjoying the scenery. I will note it’s worth bringing a sweater because the zoo is close to the ocean so it can get a little chilly.

Visited this lovely zoo last weekend. Tickets can be bought online or in person. There is an option to skip the line by paying a little more. Parking is huge, inside parking is 13$, but there is lot of free parking space outside the zoo as well (but you will need to walk a bit) There are lots of animals to see, cafeterias and playground. Giraffes and Zebras seemed quite happy enjoying the free space. There is also a train ride inside the zoo, it costs extra 7$. One can easily spend 4-5 hours in this zoo. Please do check the weather beforehand. It can be a bit windy/ colder here, and you will end up buying sweatshirts from the gift shop

The exhibits are good, as well as the overall layout and price.
However, because they are remodeling so many areas, there are several animals "missing", and it's not a fluid walk, there's a lot of dead ends, because of closed paths.

Nice zoo with a good variety of animals and better viewing options than other zoos we've visited

For a mega metropolis this zoo is fun but notably smaller and still arranged by animal type (reptile, pachyderm) rather then biome and some buildings are misleading eg: The Lion House inside the big cat area contained a porcupine and a macaw... Maybe sometimes a sleeping lion but no other cats and the packaderm building had no pachyderms
