- Excellent food, good portions, great service. We try to get over here whenever we’re in the neighborhood and never leave disappointed.
Edit: under the old management, the chicken fried steak was one of the top 3 I'd ever had. This has not changed. But now you can get a house made habanero sauce. Covered in that, it is now my top chicken fried steak. I could bathe in that sauce.
- Delicious food, good service, cute setting.
I hadn’t been here for a couple of years and the food has gotten even better! I had the chilaquiles brunch special and it was amazing. Yummy grapefruit mimosa, too. We will definitely be back to try their dinner menu soon.
- went in here not expecting much but I was wrong the food was bomb , the coffee the homemade jam and Chile was unexpected and all worth it and so was the service and music they had going on I will definitely come back to Seattle just to eat here
- Long waits to be seated, but it was delicious! Food portions were big!! Worth the money!
- 3.75 stars. The food is good. The service can be pushy (because they want to turn tables over fast?), which is uncool. Food is very good but they serve 'pure maple syrup' that is anything but. Also not cool.
The space is fine but feels a bit worn and in need of a refresh. There appears to be no website for Americana anymore but they are open and serving. There should be enforced laws requiring truth in advertising, especially when advertised real maple syrup is replaced with organ-crushing corn syrup slop.
- A great lowkey breakfast spot in Cap Hill! Came here on a Sunday morning and was instantly greeted and seated. The waitress and other staff were kind and attentive throughout the meal, checking in and bringing over almond milk when requested. Now let’s talk about the meal itself.
My eyes were instantly drawn to the maple glazed pork belly and mozzarella corn pancakes and it was the best breakfast decision I’ve made in 2023. The pork belly was cooked perfectly, easily breaking up and practically melting in my mouth with maple-y goodness. The pancakes were also excellent. Never had anything like them before and the texture was enticing.
The eggs with scallions were simple yet delicious. Such a unique and tasty way to start the day. Along with this option, the menu has more classic breakfast items. A great variety of options at reasonable prices. Lastly, I’ll talk about the vibe. Earlier I mentioned lowkey, and I stand by that. It’s not too fancy and shiny like some modern spots. The restaurant was filled with talking, in the distance the sound of plates clinking, the smell of your food activating the salivary glands. Couldn’t ask for more and I will definitely return!
- It was a slow brunch when I visited, but during my amazing meal, three other tables went out of their way to compliment the chef!
