REVIEW
- They've helped my dogs a few times, especially with Chocolate incidents. Will definitely bring my pups back if they have any other emergencies. Highly recommend.
- Clean, well staffed, well maintained, and good parking. This place was a godsend after my experience at another overnight animal hospital. Unlike the other place, they listened to my concerns on the phone and agreed that my cat should be triaged immediately (even though they were at critical capacity). No wait, within 2 minutes of walking in they took my Stella back and got her in an oxygen chamber. Once she was stable, they mercifully took all the time in the world helping me understand what was happening, explained her condition, advised me on my options for further testing or euthanasia. They went the extra mile and even let me look at her samples under the microscope! They also took good care of me financially and helped me understand my costs up front so I could make the best decisions for my Stella and my family. At the end of the day, she was critically terminal and we opted to euthanize. Even then, they were very gentle and gave me all the time I needed. I will forever bring my pets in need of emergency care here.
- I brought my dog, Bella, in with a suspected blockage. They ended up doing surgery to remove 5 stones from her bladder and urethra. I am very thankful I brought her here as I felt she received amazing care. The staff were friendly and the doctor was very communicative and called with updates exactly when he said he would. I was a wreck having to leave Bella overnight and the vet tech was so sweet and compassionate and tried her best to put my nerves at ease and even explained her experience when her dog had the same surgery. Bella had to stay a couple nights and they let us visit her each day.
Yes, we had to wait to be seen upon arrival and no, it wasn’t cheap, but it’s an emergency room and that’s what I expected. We were seen in 2 hours, which seems reasonable for an emergency room and I can’t put a price on care to keep my dog healthy and alive. Everyone we encountered who works here seems to truly care about the animals in their care.
- Sumner vet is a great place to go. I thought I was going to a good vet before I met sumner vet, but when I brought my big boy to sumner vet, they spoiled him so much and we had such a great experience we actually switched to them despite how far away they may be from us! Thank you sumner vet for the greatest experiences with our pets.
