New York City, 610 Broadway, New York, NY 10012

If you’re walking through SoHo and looking for more than just a standard shoe wall, you have to hit the adidas Brand Center at 610 Broadway. Located right at the corner of Broadway and Houston Street in the 10012 zip code, this place is a massive, multi-level powerhouse that feels like the ultimate playground for anyone into sports or streetwear. It’s a favorite for locals and visitors alike because it’s big enough to have everything you’re looking for but managed in a way that actually makes shopping fun.

The main draw here is the sheer variety of what’s in stock. Whether you’re a marathon runner looking for the latest Adizero tech, a basketball fan hunting for the new Anthony Edwards drops, or a "Samba girl" searching for the perfect colorway, they’ve got it all. The store is divided into clear sections for running, training, soccer, and lifestyle, so you aren’t wandering aimlessly. One of the best perks is the customization station, where you can sometimes get gear personalized on the spot, making your kit feel unique to your New York style.

What really distinguishes the 610 Broadway location is the atmosphere. It’s designed with a "stadium" feel—think concrete floors, locker-room style dressing rooms, and plenty of space to actually move around in the shoes before you buy them. It’s also an adiClub hub, so if you’re a member, you can often unlock exclusive drops or get invited to local community events. The staff here are true "sneakerheads" and athletes themselves; they actually know the difference between the foam in a daily trainer versus a race-day shoe, which is a lifesaver when you're overwhelmed by options.

The vibe is high-energy, usually with a great soundtrack and plenty of digital displays showing off the latest global campaigns. It’s the kind of place where you can spend an hour just browsing the Originals section for retro tracksuits or checking out the high-end Y-3 collaborations. Even though it's right in the middle of the busy Broadway shopping strip, the store is organized well enough that it rarely feels as cramped as some of the other flagship stores in the area. Whether you’re gear-hunting for the NYC Marathon or just need a fresh pair of Superstars, this is the definitive adidas destination in Downtown Manhattan.

Horrible customer service. My sister tried to return the sneakers and manager named Chris were just making fun of her not speaking English and acting very racist. This is absolutely unacceptable and rude. I should mentioned my sister is white European so just letting you know!

I walked into the adidas store on Broadway fully ready to cosplay as a World Cup superfan... you know, the kind that screams at the TV like the coach can hear me through my living room.

The store itself? Massive. Clean. Feels like a shrine to sneakers and athletic greatness. You walk in and immediately feel like you should be warming up for a Champions League match instead of heading to brunch.

Now let's talk World Cup gear.

They definitely had World Cup apparel, but the selection felt like it was going through a mild identity crisis. Some racks were loaded with national team jerseys, scarves, and training gear--Argentina, Germany, Mexico... the usual heavy hitters. But then you'd turn a corner expecting a global soccer explosion and instead find... hoodies. Just hoodies. Regular hoodies. Like the World Cup took a lunch break.

If you're hunting for a specific team or player jersey, it's a bit of a gamble. They've got solid staples, but don't expect every country, every kit, every size. It's more "greatest hits album" than full discography.

The staff were friendly enough--definitely helpful if you asked--but not aggressively pushing soccer gear like it's stoppage time. Which is nice, but also... I needed someone to yell "GOOOOOAL" when I found my size.

Pros:
* Clean, well-organized flagship vibe
* Solid selection of popular World Cup teams
* Plenty of general adidas soccer gear if you just want to look sporty while ordering takeout

Cons:
* Selection can feel hit-or-miss depending on team/size
* Not as soccer-overloaded as you might expect for a NYC flagship

Final verdict:
If you're in Manhattan and need World Cup gear quickly, this spot will absolutely get you match-ready. But if you're looking for a super deep, every-nation-represented soccer paradise, you might leave feeling like you hit the crossbar instead of the back of the net.

4/5 -- solid, but not quite a hat trick

adidas has a bizarre store layout where sneakers are displayed on a low table surrounded by seating, which clearly invites try-ons, yet customers are verbally scolded for actually trying them on. If shoes aren’t meant to be tried, don’t design the space like a fitting area. The setup is misleading, and the staff response is off-putting. Not a great shopping experience.

I am writing to express my disappointment with a recent experience at Sportswear Store at 610 Broadway NY,NY.

I entered the store March 21, 2026 15 - 20 mins prior to closing with the intention of purchasing more items. I waited approximately five minutes for the fitting room to try on one piece of clothing before closing.

Unfortunately, I was informed that I would not be allowed to try on the one item because the store was about to close a the employees wanted to go home. As a repeat paying customer I felt it would have been reasonable to be given the courtesy of trying on one item.

This lack of professionalism and accountability added to an already frustrating experience.

I understand that stores have closing procedures and employees were ready to get off work. However, customer service and basic courtesy should still be upheld, especially when a customer is already present and prepared to make a purchase.

Thank you for your time and attention.
