poor screening department. poor qa/qc. Anesthesiolgist just canceled a surgery 24 in advance, which was the first time the OR staff checked the pre-operative screening and medication records they have had for a week. They canceled because a new rule about a medication that should have been stopped 72 hours beforehand. Finanace definitely got in touch about payment prior to 72 hours ahead of time. used to be very good.

I had surgery here and the entire process was smooth and pleasant. Each and every staff member from administration to nurses etc. were kind, informative, and made me comfortable. Being in a hospital is stressful and worrisome, they made it less so. Thank you!

I was here for an outpatient procedure, my first surgery, and I was very, very nervous. From the first person I spoke to at the front desk, everyone was extremely personable, kind, and caring. I was introduced to everyone by name, constantly checked on and asked if I needed anything, and my surgical team went above and beyond in answering my questions and making sure I was comfortable. The procedure took an hour less than they'd advised, which I appreciated! You'd always rather be pleasantly surprised with less time than more. Everyone from the nurses to the anesthesiologist to the registration team to the front desk, everyone treated me so kindly and really put me at ease. I recommend them wholeheartedly.

Terrible, terrible, cruel gatekeepers. I was referred here for my daughter’s puzzling dizzy spells. When checking in for the appointment, the lady at the desk saw my insurance card and sent me down to the clinic (even though I had an appointment upstairs). I waited in line at the clinic and someone there was screening everyone in line and she sent me back upstairs for my appointment… because I truly had an appointment upstairs. Upstairs I was told the doctor was in emergency surgery and to wait in the waiting room… which we did for about 5-6 hours. (Me and my 2 kids.) Then I was told the doctor was gone. Rescheduled….. When I came back (eastern LI to Manhattan mind you) I was told I had never come there every before… and they had nothing from me. (It took forever to get back the MRA for my daughter when we finally gave up). I was also rudely asked “Do you even have a job??!!” When the insurance company called on my behalf the front desk was rude to her too, and was pretending to pass the call to her “boss”… Really just a co-worker. All that came of this was supposed retraining off staff…. My daughters medical treatments postponed by many months.
