Welcome to El Luchador! We opened our doors in November 2014 after renovating a South Street corner location that used to be a horse stable. We bought a 1960's Airstream and parked it in the front, renovated it, and equipped it with tables and chairs.
We think it’s the perfect spot to serve what we love the most: Mexican Street Food with a So-Cal flair. Come and check us out!

- This place is great and has great pricing. It’s almost like a hidden gem of the South Street Seaport. They make your burrito right in front of you so you can tell them exactly how you like it.
- Food is terrific, but the black dude that makes the food is super weird and should not be serving people. Extremely rude to the point that I would not go back despite how good the food is. Management needs to fire this dude.
- THE nastiest burrito I’ve ever had! I ordered a plan bean, cheese, and sour cream burrito. I got something DISGUSTING with LOTS of mushrooms and other stuff that I did not ask for. First and last bite was a very long & cold mushroom.
To top it off the burrito was not only cold but the tortilla was freezing & stiff! THIS IS NOT MEXICAN FOOD!!!!!! Tried to call their phone number (3) times…no answer! Now I’m hungry, grossed out, and frustrated.
