This hospital is clearly broken. I had to go to the ER last week for severe abdominal pain, vomiting, and diarrhea. I spent six hours on a cot crammed to the side of the aisle, where I was repeatedly bumped by people walking by. They gave me iv fluids something to ease the pain, but their diagnostic ability is zero. It took six hours to have blood tests done but the results didn’t come back. The doctor said his official medical advice is to stay, but he understand if I decided to go. He didn’t prescribe anything.
I was later able to figure out what it was on my own. I have celiac, and I had unknowingly been digesting gluten for a week with some mislabeled nuts. Although I told Dr about my allergy, there was no consideration of this as a possible cause. They were scratching their heads when I left to rest which was impossible there.
If it had been something serious, like a heart attack, appendicitis or sepsis, I would have died right there on the cot. No one ever came up to me to check and see how I was doing. I will not enter Queens Mount Sinai although there may be no good options here.

Dr. Elfatihi was excellent. The hospital was overcrowded and understaffed but Dr. Elfatihi assisted me as quickly as he could and was very kind. My treatment worked as well. Thank you Mount Sinai.

My wife Joanne was a patient at Mount Sinai in Queens NY at 3West . I must say the staff on that floor is unbelievable. The attention & care from them is #1. I especially loved the nurse Amir who took extra good care of my wife. I was very relaxed when leaving that she was in good hands. The rest of the staff were excellent also. From the cleaning staff to the kitchen staff( especially Patty) The care they gave her was unbelievable. Also, the doctors are terrific. Dr Hongo, Dr Quinn, who we dealt with on a daily basis kept us informed about everything. I would highly recommend Mt Sinai to anyone who needs to see a doctor.

My family member is in this hospital for a few days. The nurses are very busy and they don't have the time to attend to their patients needs. Its terrible. The rooms are small and overcrowded. A patient that needs help with feeding doesn't get help. The food goes back untouched. A patient that needs to be cleaned waits for hours. They have three patients in a small room that can only accommodate two patients.
I can write a whole assay This is terrible. Mount Sinai doesn't care about patients only about earnings.
One star is too much for them .
Don't go there find another hospital.

My brother was there for a brief time on the fourth floor nurse Maria was attentive the aids were very attentive. However, I feel the staff is overworked and there's not enough staff to do amount of patients ! Wake up administration.

My mother went into the emergency room on Sunday morning @ 9:18am. Today is Tuesday and still no rooms. Something definitely needs to be done!!! Your in pain , admitted with no bed, and in a small hallway with other patients on top of you. Shame!!!

Waited from 2am-8am and no one still didn't see me. I had to go to another ER where they saw me within an hour.

I spent (2) separate days in the ER this week. And I have to say, I never expected to be giving MSQ ER five stars, but they certainly deserve it! I met an exceptional Doctor! A wonderful Lady " Dr. M. Chisolm-Straker"! Mt. Sinai is very lucky to have her. She handled her business so well, there were no questions needed to be asked! That was the first time I didn't have any follow up questions for anything. That's what a patient, family/and or friend of a patient wants and needs! I'd also like to give special thumbs up for a job well done to, Dr. J. Levine, MA J. Pena, Nurse F. Reece and last but not least , Manny (Manuel) one of the best! The registration crew were great too! And to anyone I forgot to mention. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I made a HUGE MISTAKE coming here. I’m only giving a second star because everyone was super polite, while doing absolutely nothing. I came in WITH A PROFUSELY BLEEDING HEAD WOUND AND WAITED 5 HOURS BEFORE BEING SPOKEN TO BY ANYONE. I was finally seen…by a PA, and no one else, only after I politely asked for the 3rd time if someone could please have a look, because everyone who’d arrived AFTER me had been seen and many had been discharged.
Some of the more urgent issues that warranted attention before my open head included: knee pain, injured hands, a rash, and a headache…which, by the way, also applied to me AND I WAS NEVER CHECKED FOR A CONCUSSION.
I was eventually stitched up, no questions asked, no other evaluation, no doctor visit and I had to ask multiple times what my next steps should be before getting “come back in 5-7 days to get the stitches out. And I’ll call you in some bacitracin. Otherwise, all good.”
I now have a steadily throbbing headache, a burning eye under the laceration, and have been feeling woozy since Saturday. I’ll be heading to my doctor for help. But maybe I’ll come back here to experience being a high-priority patient if my knee is ever feeling a bit achy.

I believe the hospital should be given a rating greater than 5 stars. I went to the emergency room a while back because I felt like I had high blood pressure and a migraine. However, it was discovered that one of the arteries in my neck was about to rupture. I am alive thanks to Dr. Shoirah and the great employees at Mount Sinai Queens, I am always grateful for the care I received there and for my prolonged existence. Every time I visit the hospital, my family and I receive the best care. Mount Sinai Queens has the best healthcare providers in New York.

I am a current patient here and I wanted to express my gratitude towards the doctors, nurses and staff. I went through the emergency unit and they quickly attended to me. I have been admitted for a week and have experienced placement fatigue, but the doctors, specifically Dr. Ryan Corbo who answered questions, and the nurses were angels. I also struggled with my mental health and I felt safe and comfortable under their care. I am thankful for their support as I work on my treatment.

I had a terrible experience at Mount Sinai hospital. I was sent there due to severe abdominal pain. After enduring a 3-hour wait in the lobby and another hour in the ER, Dr. Shaw approached me rudely, almost as if I was lying about my pain. When I asked him about my chart, he responded with hostility, as if I was being punished. Telling me to check myself that hell just come back to me later as he walked away. Unable to tolerate this treatment, I said I'd just discharge myself, and Dr. Shaw's parting words were, 'Sounds good, have a great day.' It's that this happened in a hospital.
