TOP important and interesting reviews from patients
- I had my baby in this hospital, I’m Latina from Colombia and the attention WAS INCREDIBLE. The doctors who helped me in my process was so respectful and helped me a lot giving me information like how breathe when my baby was coming, they helped me controlling everything before and after, thank you so much I really made the best experience having my new born there…
- So this was my first time at Elmhurts. ED was amazing and attended to my pain very quickly. They left me for more testing. When I was transferred to the 4th fl, em 9, I was attended by the nicest male nurses. This was around 4 or 5 am. As the day went on and shift changed, I was put with nurse Mila, she was very busy being put in this schedule last minute. On the other hand, I have gallstones and the pain is excruciating!!! There were two nurses behind the desk and one RN on the other side with a patient. In my room I pulled the curtains to the side to signal that I needed assistance to use the rest maroon. I WAS COMPLETELY IGNORED BY THE THREE PROFESSIONALS at 4pm as they had seen me waiving my arm, and yelling, but nothing was even done. Their people etiquette is at 0. I had pressed the button on and off asking for help but nothing, I was yelling nurse, with no response. Finally I got the attention of the RN and finally she went and retrieved my assigned nurse. She constantly apologized for her 3 co-workers disapproved and unprofessional behavior!! If you are working to help people, then help even if the patient isn’t assigned to you. Help out your coworker!!! Sitting there cracking jokes and ignoring me because I wasn’t assigned to, is unacceptable! I am an educator and regardless of the treatment I received, I held my composure. ELMHURST CHAIRMAN NEEDS TO HIRE NURSES THAT ARE FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE PAY CHECK!!!!! I HOPE SHE IS THE ONLY ONE I WILL COME IN CONTACT WITH!!!! Everyone else was beautiful, attentive and remorseful!!!! HENCE WHY I GAVE THEM 5 stars!!!! For one bad apple, I’m not throwing out the tree!!!!
