Honestly people think metropolitan hospital may not be the best but when it comes to the emergency room & working fast to help you.. they are the BEST. Every single time i come in i am seen quickly compared to Mount Sinai & Presbyterian Hospital, every time i get my own room and dont have to share with people. All staff are nice and listen to you very well. Like i said it may not be the most aesthetic hospital but it sure does get the job done to get out and all fixed up as soon as they can. Thank you so much to all the medical team & for your services, i really appreciate it.

I came to New York to visit and got extremely sick . I came to this hospital because I am pregnant and have been hurting for Three days and I can’t hold down any food I’m exhausted and dehydrated. The front clerk was so busy talking about ppl that I stood at the window for ten minutes before anybody even acknowledged me . Again I’m pregnant and have been hurting for over three days I was going to wait til I got back home to Texas but the pain was too much to bear . The two men at the front are rude as hell . They are not helping nobody all they do is talk about people and gossiping in the back with other nurses and emts. They don’t care at this hospital if you care about your health or yo child’s safety or wellbeing and health . DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL! They will laugh in your face .

Although I had to wait long with my child at his appointment mine were luckily fast so it was good and some made laugh an they were polite .

Hoy tuve una cita en MRI room 100 llegue a las 3:45 pm me registraron, la recepcionista se retiro a las 4:00 y se quedo un muchacho que se retiro aproximadamente a las 5 :15-5:30 pm, junto con otra paciente nos indico que el técnico nos atendería en media hora por alguna situación accedimos a esperar porque nos indico que las próximas citas estaban hasta finales de abril desafortunadamente tuve que esperar 3 meses para está cita que programaron desde mediados de octubre, así que espere, nunca había pasado semejante situación! Creo que se les olvido que habíamos pacientes esperando, púes jamás el técnico llego por las dos pacientes que teniamos cita, que estabamos ya registradas, con batas y listas para ser atendidas, nos dieron las 7:38 PM y no había absolutamente nadie en el area, que clase de hospital hace eso? Es lamentable que un hospital como este, no sea capaz de tener un buen sistema de salud con personal eficiente y responsable que vele realmente por la seguridad y el bienestar del paciente, tuve que dejar encargada a mi hija para poder llegar a mi cita, estoy tan decepcionada de está situación pienso que ese tipo de gente irresponsable deberian ser despedidos y contratar personal que realmente amen su trabajo y sobre todo que tengan claro que con la salud de un ser humano no se juega..!!!

Poor review . Had a bad experience. Went to the hospital with my mother but her doctor wasn’t there. First her surgery was cancel on Oct 20 then doctor never called her back to reschedule the surgery Went there today with my mother to get answers but the same doctor was not there . It a waiting game . Poor service

Inpatient services are truly the best. The entire staff is friendly and incredibly helpful every single time!!

I understand that sometimes people go late to the appointments, but if it is not busy, they should still see the pregnancy women, and in the political is no where said if you coming late please no coming because we no give the service to you. why the secretary can make the decision she can kill someone. she is not a doctor.

Me hice una endoscopia y colonoscopias muy buen servicio el departamento de Gastrologia Yakelina,Kiara y Ricardo y las enferma buen servicio todo bien limpio lo recomiendo

My son was born at this hospital, he turned 1 last week.
I don't know why it's taken me over a year to post this but better late than never =)
My family and I are VERY pleased with the staff and our experience while being treated here. Looking back at those very challenging times, I am SO grateful for all the nurses and doctors who took care of us, and helped us deliver our baby boy safely.

IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH> DO NOT GO THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had been been receiving Dental & Primary care from them over 3 to 4 years. The adage "This is the straw that broke the Camel's back " applies. Awaiting for verification from my PCP for a referral. Since he is not an admin assistant, I can understand, but to a degree. Through MYChart, he responded to my question. This was 2 weeks later. I was relieved my referral had already been issued. My PCP advised me to either call or go to the Specialized Clinic. It was a week later and I called to set up the appointment. I called and the Clinic apologized and said " the referral was cancelled". This is where it gets interesting. I was told my PCP cancelled it. And they could not tell me why. Great! I let a week pass, exhaled and called Metro, again. I spoke with a Representative. I wanted to place a complaint about the care I had received. She suggested I can speak to Patient Advocate. So be it. I asked what is their number? Leslie told me she could not provide me with the number but she could transfer me? I wasnt asking for a personal banking routing no. I was asking if the call was disconnected duing the transfer. We can talk about how idiotic this is. Id rather move on. Once I was connected to the Patient Advocate...I gave them the issue and would get back to me with additional information. The advocate contacted me within 45 mins. I was informed my cancelled referral was due to my situation was not a candidate for Surgery. WHAT SURGERY?! I wanted consultation I never received from a Specialist. This decision was made without me. Two people looked over my MRI report and said NOTHING! I received no phone call or otherwise. I will follow up with the Patient Advocate Dept to pursue placing my complaint. And this will be done. There is an added bonus to my story. The wonderful DENTAL DEPARTMENT. A few weekends back I was flossing and a small piece of my tooth came out. I wasnt too worried. I knew I had an appointment on Monday. Monday came and told the Reception and, finally, the Dentist. I was told he couldnt do anything because I was here for Implant Consultation. I returned to the Reception and explained to them what occurred over the weekend. My gum is exposed how soon can someone see me. I was told they had nothing. And I should call the first week of July. Anyone with a right mind knows how something so minute can become infectious. I wasnt given a prescription for anything, and wasnt asked if I was in pain. I am sure it would not have mattered. PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH FOR OTHER OPTIONS. FOR SELF CARE> THIS HOSPITAL COULD CARELESS.

The LGBTTQA community needs more attention please, now our center is located on the first floor 1D2-B before it was on 3B, it is useless to build new facilities if there is not a good staff, the surgeon and the staff are always stressed and therefore give very bad service, delays in appointments of hours, every Every time I come here I have to wait at least an hour to be treated by this stressed doctor, please we need more personal , trained and professionals surgeons, please

The one nurse at the emergency room who drew my blood was rude and unprofessional . . I say in a corner for over 2 hours without being seen . Or checked on.

Rude receptionist on the 6th floor. She’s a puerto rican lady with short curly dyed hair. Can’t believe the hospital hired her. She’s rude and nasty to patients. She’s also racist and gets loud/annoyed with anyone who doesn’t speak English well. If the hospital would like me to point her out I’m happy to do so. She sits right up front where people are in line.

Medical Clinic receptionist needs better training. Especially the manager who has no sense of customer service especially at the hospital setting where everyone is there to get help. Individual like that shouldn't be at hospital treating patient
