I love this place. I have been ordering from them for years and they remain consistently delicious ! My go to is the falafel platter with white sauce on the side and WOW. 10/10. I tried their rice pudding for the first time and it was perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness. The price is beyond reasonable for the generous amount of food included.

Huge portion size, can get pretty much two meals for 13$, not a big fan of their rice though

Awesome food, especially the falafel. Best around. Great team. Fast and friendly. They handle difficult customers as pros.

ABOUT

With a desire to replicate the taste of home, King of Falafel & Shawarma was born. On April 18, 2002, on the corner of Broadway and 30th St in Astoria, we made our home. With support and love from the community, we were able to serve our authentic street food to not only Astorians, but people all over the world. In 2010, we expanded our location to include the NW corner of 53rd St and Park in Midtown Manhattan.

Voted as the #1 street vendor in New York City is no small feat. Everything we make is from scratch, using the best ingredients and flavor combinations. Not far from our food truck on 31st St and Broadway is our first permanent home. We look forward to sharing foods we have grown up with and new interpretations of Palestinian and Middle Eastern cuisine.

King of Falafel & Shawarma is a popular Middle Eastern food cart located in Astoria, Queens. The cart is known for its fresh, authentic falafel and shawarma, as well as its friendly and welcoming service.

The falafel at King of Falafel & Shawarma is made with fresh chickpeas and herbs, and is deep-fried to a golden brown perfection. The shawarma is made with thinly-sliced, marinated chicken or beef that is roasted on a spit until it is crispy and juicy. Both the falafel and the shawarma are served in a pita with your choice of hummus, tahini, baba ghanoush, and other toppings.

In addition to falafel and shawarma, King of Falafel & Shawarma also serves a variety of other Middle Eastern dishes, including baba ghanoush, hummus, tabbouleh, and lentil soup. The food is all very affordable, and the portions are generous.

The service at King of Falafel & Shawarma is friendly and welcoming. The staff is always happy to help you choose the right dish, and they are always willing to make recommendations.

Overall, King of Falafel & Shawarma is a great place to get a delicious and authentic Middle Eastern meal. The food is fresh, the service is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend King of Falafel & Shawarma to anyone looking for a great Middle Eastern meal in Astoria, Queens.

Always stop by for their falafel every time I'm in Astoria. Their falafel used to be the best but lately tend to find them a little salty. They are still the best nonetheless compared to others.

This is by far the best shawarma truck in Manhattan. The portions are great, a lot of options, and the service is amazing. While I was ordering the owner offered me a falafel and preceded to add 3 free falafels to my order. Unbelievably good!

There’s a reason they call it the king of falafel. Best falafel and shawarma out there. Not only does the food live up to the name but the service does too. Nothing has changed from the cart to the brick and mortar. Bring someone to eat with you because you’re going to get a platter that is stuffed to the brim.
