H Mart Upper Darby

Hard to park here (not the stores fault), you can always find a specialty item here. They just need better in store signage. Hard to find stuff...

I always go there for my fruits & vegetables. They have unique topical fruits that I love also fresh vegetables.

Pretty decent Korean market to get all kinds of ingredients for Korean and Asian dishes. Upstairs food court is really good, highly recommend!

Well organized with a very detailed and unique selection. The second floor hosts a cafe with Korean, Japanese and Chinese foods.

Prepared foods are good. Grocery is well stocked with Korean staples and a surprising Latin section. Parking gets tight but there is now the option to park across the street in the lot for free.

I was super excited to find out they have fish so I have been there 4 times in one week . However the people in the seafood department are MEAN . They pretend to not speak English to get out of not servicing you , body language is universal and they have a sign and I literally point to which number and that tells them how you want it prepared but you don’t get that far because you say hello 10 times and it seems they are hard of hearing as well I have stood there as the only customer for over 10 minutes 3 different occasions and they ignore me until I just leave. I have to bring my husband because his voice is more stern so they answer him on the 3rd excuse me sir . I literally watch them set up and they just continue and ignore me asking to purchase fish. If you are Latin and speak Spanish you will be fine they service the Latino ppl since some of the workers are of Latin descent. I bought a board load of fish and they told me they wouldn’t scale it or nada . When I was the only customer there. Shopping while black problems .

Not as bad expect the one in Elkins park is better

Selection is good like any h mart but this h mart has racist security and rude Hispanic workers. I've listened to the cashiers talk about me in Spanish like I don't understand Spanish right in front of my face. Had the security guard get aggressive with me because I walked into the store with a backbag. I had to leave the store cause the security guard was being too handsy all I wanted to do was get some groceries for my family. The security guard had a friend with him that wasn't even working trying to curse me out that's unprofessional you guys need to do something about the security and his friend that doesn't work there. I don't feel comfortable going to this h mart knowing that the people are talking about me in another language like I don't understand and the security guard is too aggressive. Do better your customers don't deserve that.

Good place to get food. Family from China enjoy shopping here for specials. The food court upstairs is always a stop for them.

H Mart in Upper Darby is a fantastic destination for Asian cuisine and a wide variety of seafood options. However, it lacks dedicated parking facilities, which means you often have to wait for a spot to open up in the crowded paid parking lot. On a positive note, they offer a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, and their seafood department is impressive, featuring various types of fish, as well as live lobsters and crabs. It would be even more enjoyable if the store had more space for customers to shop comfortably.
