Nestled in the bustling suburb of Owings Mills, just a short drive from the heart of Baltimore, Tesla Owings Mills serves as a premier destination for the electric vehicle movement in Maryland. Located at 9428 Reisterstown Road, this facility is far more than just a place to buy a car; it is a comprehensive hub that combines a modern showroom, a high-tech service center, and a major delivery point. For residents of Baltimore County and the surrounding areas, it provides a welcoming space to transition away from traditional gas engines and into a world of quiet, high-performance sustainable travel.

Stepping into the Reisterstown Road location feels entirely different from the typical high-pressure atmosphere of a suburban car dealership. The space is designed with a clean, minimalist aesthetic that allows the vehicles—from the versatile Model Y and the world-class Model 3 to the flagship Model S and X—to take center stage. There are no sales desks or aggressive negotiation tactics here. Instead, you’ll find a team of product experts who are happy to explain the nuances of over-the-air software updates or show you how the expansive glass roof provides a unique view of the Maryland sky. It’s a place where curiosity is encouraged, and you can explore the future of driving at your own pace.

Beyond the showroom floor, the Owings Mills center is a vital lifeline for local owners. The on-site service department is staffed by technicians who specialize exclusively in Tesla's unique architecture. Because these cars are built without the hundreds of moving parts found in internal combustion engines, the maintenance experience is famously streamlined. Whether you're coming in for a routine check-up or a specific hardware adjustment, the focus is on getting you back on the road quickly. The center also acts as a primary delivery hub, where new owners often experience the "delivery day" milestone, receiving a thorough walkthrough of their new vehicle's features before driving off into the Maryland landscape.

The presence of Tesla in Owings Mills has helped turn the area into a focal point for the regional EV community. With a nearby Supercharger station at Metro Centre providing a convenient place for a quick top-off, the location makes owning an electric vehicle practical for everyone from daily commuters to weekend travelers heading toward the Chesapeake Bay. By bringing sales, service, and support together under one roof, Tesla Baltimore-Owings Mills isn't just selling cars—it’s supporting a shift toward a cleaner, smarter way to navigate the 410 and beyond.

Came in for a pickup. Everything was done online, so last final step was to go in and get my car. Upon first look, scruff marks on all white seats. Thankfully, one of the employees quickly detailed the car. I do think this should have been done before hand, I left feeling as if my car wasn’t properly cleaned— though suitable enough to drop the topic. Lastly, I didn’t even get a name tag on the car, something that is standard across all other Tesla dealerships. I wish the facility was more prepared for my pickup. In good news, I really appreciated the walkthrough setup and calibration ride to feel more secured in owning such a different vehicle compared to what I’ve driven before. In regard to the setup drive, I had an enjoyable experience with the employee who facilitated that for me.

I purchased my car here in 2022 and have used this as my primary service center (that will change now). I recently got my car serviced here for a pre-warranty expiration checkup and a few small issues like the door check strap making a squeaking noise. Keep in mind this service center is ~45 min one way for me. My first visit for the service I was informed I had to pay 3 or 400 for the pre-warranty expiration inspection. Door issue needed a part so mobile service was scheduled. I asked for a report longer than "passed all inspection checks" that was provided on the $400 inspection and never received anything. Additionally, i brought the car in mid-day and was told they couldnt give any credit or loaner as car may be done today. I asked what happens if it goes overnight and was told theyd have to escalate. So i got a ride home. (Keeping track, this is now 4x trips there and back to pickup the next day). Mobile service visit a few weeks later and the awesome tech said door may need to be replaced and the check strap didnt fix the issue. Back to this service center. I bring it back the following week, get it serviced, and get a loaner this time as it'd take overnight. I come back the next day to pick it up (done by 4pm, center closes at 5) after hours. I arrived to my car in bad condition (pictures included).

1) door issue still not fixed. Making a squishing noise now that is audible and not normal
2) scratch on door trim, cant seem to get it off (ended up being residue that came off). Sticky residue all over window and door
3)seat put back to farthest position on entry
4) mint container opened and assuming mints were taken
5) trash left in the car

I finally escalated to the manager who said to let him know how he could help but didnt show in person as I requested to smooth over how my car was treated. I talked with a tech the following day after receiving my car back and had to practically convince him to take a further look at door issue and clean up exterior. Finally, a few hours later and after 10 trips there and back, my issue was fixed. I finally got a sorry at the very end as I was leaving. The only person who said sorry.

To sum up the above, I will be avoiding this service center at all costs going forward. My car and self were not treated with respect. I was expecting a premium experience but felt like they took advantage of me since I already had bought the car so why would they need to treat me well. This was one of the points that made me nervous to purchase a tesla in the first place and certainly will impact my car purchasing decisions moving forward. I cannot imagine if my car had a worse issue other than a squeeky door and how that would be handled.

Delivery got delayed last minute with no reason provided and I had a tough time getting context as to why. I tried to avoid getting my car delivered to this location since I heard bad things and it's too far from me. The general manager at this location helped resolve my issue by delivering the vehicle to the Silver Spring location, since they're a lot closer to me and easier to work with, given my packed schedule.

I was told Tesla purchases were simple, but my experience has been terrible. I don't blame this location for the logistics failures, but they did work against me until I was able to speak with the general manage.

I don't think this dealership is bad, but they were combative about resolving my issue. The Tesla at Silver Spring provide nothing but solutions and possible next moves, so I'm sticking with them. I recommend people to be wary about this location, like I was told to be.

Chaotic, unorganized and unapologetic. I made a service appt to get brake calipers cleaned (recommended if living in an area where roads are salted ) & needed to change out the cabin air filter. Also my car has to be towed in bc I had a flat tire. They returned my car after only cleaning the brake calipers. I left thinking everything was done only to drive back still with a flat tire and old air filters. The technician who removed and replaced my tires for the brakes said he didn’t notice anything was wrong with the tire. When I pointed out the 24 psi they said oh I need to purchase a new tire so they can replace it. This was done by “remote assessment “. I questioned what kind of damage was done to the tire they said they didn’t know (?). When I reviewed the invoice I didn’t see any charges for air filter exchange. The service assistant said she didn’t know anything about it and it hasn’t been done. She didn’t apologize but just sounded annoyed as if it was my fault they can’t keep straight what kind of service needs to be performed. Makes me wonder what kind of operation they’re running. They need a better system and maybe more help.

This was my first time ever buying a car and I wouldn’t recommend anyone other than this Tesla location. They went above and beyond in every aspect to make me feel comfortable, answer all my questions and accommodate all my needs. Not only was it one person but it was the whole team that gathered to help make my experience a good one. Ouzy, Mr. Brown, Cameron, and Kamsy did everything in their power to work with me and help me. It was such a warm welcoming and fun environment. I’ve already recommended multiple friends to them and will continue to recommend people to them. THIS IS THE TESLA TO GO TO!!

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with a recent Tesla Certified Pre-Owned vehicle purchasing experience, which has significantly undermined my trust in the Tesla brand.

On January 8, 2026, I placed an order for a 2022 Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD listed in Tesla’s pre-owned inventory. The vehicle was located approximately 40 miles from me in Arlington, Virginia, and was advertised as having no reported accidents. Based on Tesla’s reputation and assurances that pre-owned vehicles meet high quality and transparency standards, I felt confident proceeding with the purchase.

After waiting approximately two weeks and receiving multiple status updates indicating that the vehicle was onsite but still pending inspection, I decided to visit the Owings Mills Tesla location on January 23, 2026, to better understand the delay. Upon arrival, I located the vehicle on the lot and immediately observed clear signs of accident-related damage on the front passenger side. These issues included visible overspray, a frunk that had to be forced shut, and a lower fog light that was not properly attached to the bumper cover.

Given the condition of the vehicle and the fact that it was listed with no reported accidents, I was no longer comfortable proceeding with the purchase and requested a refund of my deposit. To their credit, the sales department handled the refund promptly and returned my $500 deposit without issue.

However, I chose to purchase a used vehicle directly from Tesla because of the company’s stated commitment to quality, transparency, and trust—specifically that Tesla pre-owned vehicles represent the “cream of the crop,” with no undisclosed damage or “funny business.” Discovering such obvious issues on a vehicle marketed as accident-free has completely tarnished my view of Tesla and raised serious concerns about the integrity of the pre-owned vehicle program.

I have no doubt the car would have been fixed and sold to me without disclosure of previous damage.

I believe Tesla can and should do better in ensuring accurate vehicle disclosures and quality control before listing vehicles for sale. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve the customer experience going forward.

2 Stars because I got my refund back, but this was a total waste of my time.

I’ve generally had positive experiences with Tesla, which makes this situation all the more frustrating. Over a two-month period, I experienced four separate instances of critical 12V battery warnings instructing me to pull over immediately due to the risk of vehicle shutdown. Despite multiple service visits, tows, and repeated assurances that the issue had been resolved, the root cause was not identified until the fourth occurrence.

Even more concerning was the way the situation was handled. I repeatedly had to push for basic accommodations such as rental transportation and tow coverage for a recurring, safety-related issue. Communication was poor throughout, and during the most recent incident I did not receive even the courtesy of a call from the service manager. Ultimately, the issue was traced to a short in the defroster system—something that should have been identified far earlier.

This experience reflected serious breakdowns in diagnosis, escalation, and customer care. Given the safety implications, particularly when being instructed multiple times to pull over due to a potential vehicle shutdown, the level of service provided fell well short of what I expect from Tesla.

I got delivery of my car last month, I got one "Rear" license tag delivered with the car. after a month I started getting toll notices against my Temp license place on a Tesla car similar to my car( different color), I can prove that car is not mine by the record of my trips from tesla App. Somehow the tag is used by someone who has access to dealer records. I called the dealer and left a message , no one is responding, I reported this to the police, and will contact Tesla corporate.

Had a great experience working with Anthony from initial contact all the way through delivery! He was very patient and knowledgeable. He made himself available to answer questions and help guide us through the ordering process and went above and beyond to make our experience at this location and with Tesla an excellent one! If it were not for him it’s unclear if we would have taken the leap.

Update: The level of support provided by Anthony after the sale has been phenomenal! Our plates got lost in the mail, and after struggling to get a reply through other channels I reached out to him directly and he was able to resolve it himself in the matter of days while also happily fielding other questions as well. Ask for him by name or schedule an appointment if considering buying - working with Anthony has made my Tesla experience so much better.

My husband brought his Model 3 in for a knocking sound on the driver's side wheel well. We were quoted first 200 to just look at the car. We assumed it was the suspension because we had work done prior at the Rockville location in June. They came back and told us a cover needed replaced. that was causing the noise. Now we are at 400. Then they called and said the brakes need to be replaced too and then we were at 1100 dollars and then they changed it to 2400. We got the cover replaced and the noise was still there. They didn't even look at the suspension. They are very shady, and we are sure they were trying to get us to trade the car in and buy a new one. So after being inconvenience my husband brought the car to the Rockville location and all that needed to be done was 2 bolts needed to be tightened. And Rockville charged us nothing. We will always bring our car back to them.
